I am honored to be able to serve on the board of MDN. Their commitment to supporting those who have been called into ministry to the lost and building up the church of Christ fits with my personal commitment that is similar. I’ve had a lifelong interest in missions that began as a child. My parents regularly had missionaries in our home. While I have not served on the frontlines, I spent years supporting missionaries, both family and friends. As a young mother, I sat at my typewriter and regularly wrote letters to encourage those who were far away from home. This was before there were personal computers, internet and cell phones. I have also had the privilege of serving on my church’s missions committee, meeting with missionaries on home assignment and those raising support, as well as communicating with the church body about those we supported. My career was as an executive assistant at a major US bank and briefly at Samaritan’s Purse. God has equipped me in organization which enables me to help others focus on what God has called them to do.
